Merely passing in CET does not guarantee you a place in engineering college if you don’t stand high in CET merit. On the basis of feedback from experts and successful candidates National Network of Education has come up with few tips that will help you in taking the CET exam successfully.
1) Start Early - For a good rank in CET start your preparation after 10th class board examination. CET follows the syllabus of class 11th and 12th in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics of Maharashtra State Board. For detailed syllabus, click here.
2) Clear your concepts and fundamentals - Clear your basics, concepts and fundamentals, develop understanding of topics; this will improve your marks in class and will add to your rank in CET. Focus extensively on solving problems including numerical questions. This will improve your test taking abilities and applications of theories, principles, and logic sets.
3) Know the terminology - The CET question paper is in English medium, so be familiar with terminologies used in physics, chemistry and mathematics in English, if you are a non-English medium student. Language won’t be a big problem as the questions are objective type.
4) Stay Focused - you can get the syllabus from the link provided below. It’s advisable to stay focused at the syllabus. Remember, reading one book 5 times helps more than reading 5 books once.
5) Extensive Study - Extensive study is required for qualifying in CET, as you will asked 50 questions in each physics, chemistry and mathematics; this means you will face questions from all the areas that are part of your 11th and 12th standard curriculum.
