MH-CET Engineering and Medical Entrance Exam

Govt. of Maharashtra has decided to conduct a single Combined Common Entrance Exam for selection to all degree courses in Engineering ,Medical, Medicine, MBA, MCA, UPSC, IAS, IFS, CDS, NDA , SSB, Law, UPSC,Health Sciences, Nursing, Pharmacy, BVSc.& AH cources ,under Govt./ Corporation /Govt. Aided Colleges and Govt. Quota in Private colleges. The Entrance Exam will be held at all the district headquarters in Maharashtra. The entrance test is called Maharashtra Common Entrance Test (MHT-CET).


The Competent Authority for selection to Health Science degree courses is The Director, Medical Education and Research, Mumbai. The Competent Authority for selection to Engineering and Pharmacy degree courses is The Director, Technical Education, Mumbai. The Concerned Authority for selection to BVSc & AH degree course is The Registrar, Maharashtra Animal and Fisheries Science University, Nagpur.

The qualifying Examination for appearing in MHT-CET is HSC (12th Std.) or equivalent examination with the conditions for eligibility as defined in the respective Brochure/s. Eligible candidates studying in Std 12th or equivalent from School/ Junior College situated in the State of Maharashtra are requested to give their requirement of Application Form and Brochures to their college/school.


The application form for MHT-CET is common for all the above said courses, however the information brochures are separate, one for Health Science Courses including Nursing and BVSc.& AH, another for Engineering courses and the third for Pharmacy. The result will be available at the official website of Directorate of Medical Education and Research and the Directorate of Technical Education. The selection to various courses will be done as per the rules stated in the respective information brochures.

RRB JE Recruitment 2019: Apply online for 14,000 vacancies

The Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) has invited online applications for as many as 14,000 jobs. The national transporter is hiring for roles such as Junior Engineer, Junior Engineer (Information Technology), Depot Material Superintendent, and Chemical and Metallurgical Assistant.
The RRB is looking to fill a total of 13,034 vacancies for the role of Junior Engineer, 49 vacancies for Junior Engineer (Information Technology), 456 openings for Depot Material Superintendent and 494 openings for Chemical and Metallurgical Assistant role.
Interested candidates can apply through the regional websites of RRB or through the official website.
The application process will start from January 2 and the last date to apply online is January 31. Last date to pay the fee online is February 4 and the final submission of application is February 7. The exam dates are yet to be announced.
As for the application fee, General and OBC categories students are required to pay Rs 500, while it is Rs 250 for SC and ST categories. The application fee for RRB JE recruitment can only be paid through debit card, credit card, netbanking or SBI e-Challan.
Application fee of Rs 400 for General/OBC categories and the entire amount for SC/ST categories will be refunded to applicants on appearing for the Stage 1 of Computer Based Test (CBT) exam.
Applicants must be a minimum of 18 years or maximum of 33 years as on January 1, 2019. A relaxation of 5 years and 3 years will be allowed to SC/ST candidates and OBC candidates respectively.
Indian Railways is recruiting for the role of Junior Engineer after a span of three years. The recruitment board had announced 2,000 vacancies for Junior Engineer in 2015.

MHT CET 2019 exam date (tentative) has been declared by DTE Maharashtra. According to latest information, MHT CET will be held from May 2 to May 13, 2019. According to DTE Maharashtra, MHT CET 2019 will be held in online mode (Computer-Based Test) from 2019. The Maharashtra Common Entrance Test (MHT CET) was held in offline (Pen-Paper Based) mode till 2018. DTE Maharashtra has also released the marking pattern and syllabus of MHT CET 2019. The application form is expected to be released in the month of January 2019 in online mode. The result of MHT CET 2019 will be declared in the month of June 2019. Other related dates of MHT CET 2019 exam are yet to be declared on www.dtemaharashtra.gov.in.

MHT CET 2019 Application Form, Eligibility, Dates

MHT CET or Maharashtra Common Entrance Test is a state-level entrance exam conducted for admission into Engineering and Allied Health Sciences courses in Maharashtra. MHT CET 2019 is scheduled for May 2019. Candidates can fill MHT CET Application form 2019 online from March 2019 at dtemahrashtra.gov.in. Application fee for general category is INR 800 while that for reserved category is INR 600.
Latest Update: The state government of Maharashtra has announced to conduct MHT CET 2019 in online mode (Computer Based Test) for the first time in 2019. Also, new changes have been introduced in exam pattern and syllabus.
